Introduction to WNCC

Welcome to WNCC!
First of all thank you for coming to WNCC, and being apart of our family!
How to receive your username/password:
Step 1. Please open up a web browser (chrome, firefox, edge etc.), and go to https://www.wncc.edu/
Step 2: In the upper right-hand corner, Left-click "MyWNCC"

Step 3: Left-click "Click Here to Sign Into ClassLink:

Step 4: Below the Sign In, Left-click "Are you New to WNCC? Click Here!"

Step 5: A new window will appear welcoming you to our WebAdvisor process, Left-click "Ok" to begin.

Step 6: Insert your information and then left-click "Submit" (if an error message occurs please call requesting IT help)

Step 7: On the left-hand side, the page will display your username. This username is important as it is what you will be using for any and all access to WNCC. On the right-hand side, left-click the drop down arrow, and make sure your recovery email address is selected. Then left-click "Submit".

Step 8: After you left-clicked "Submit", left-click "Login" toward the right-hand side of the screen. You will receive a temporary password to your personal email address. Please access your personal email address and use the temporary password in the password field, and your username in the "User ID" field.

Step 9: A new window will occur to enter your information again, and to have you create a new password. Please follow the criteria of the password field: "12 or more total characters, Upper/Lower case characters, numbers, and no more than 4 consistent characters that can be matched to your username".
Step 10: Once you are successful with creating your new password please proceed to "Introduction to WNCC portal page"
Introduction to WNCC ClassLink:
Repeat the same steps up to the previous step 4 and sign in with your wncc email address and password.
WNCC ClassLink Homepage:

From the home page the user can then select each app as necessary for daily work.
All apps can be reorganized per the users click and drag sequence.
To Highlighted some main ones are:
1.) Request Ticket System (To enter in any ticket for IT, maintenance, FBG, etc. through a fillable form)

2.) Office 365 (To use any office products online or to download and install office 365 on your own devices, licenses are applied to your account automatically)

3.) App more apps

(This will allow the user to add any app that classlink provides; as well as, tabs that we have created to manage the extra apps that are associated with the college.)
Introduction to WNCC portal page (Slowly Deprecating):
1.) Log into WNCC.EDU from your web browser
2.) In the upper right-hand corner left click on “MyWNCC” (this will direct you to our portal logon)
3.) Once signed in (username without email address), you should see this as your portal page:

4.) In the upper left-hand corner (The big W logo) you can left click on this to refresh your screen back to this view in the event you get stuck/buried too deep in the portal area

5.) In the upper left-hand corner (“Menu” with three dashes) this is the menu page that you can personally search through our entire portal to find links that may be apart of your time here at WNCC

6.) Toward the middle left-side of the screen you will see announcements for the campus, department, and My Week for any new time/appointments that are set in your Outlook/Office 365 email

7.) In the center “Campus Applications” will allow you to click on the blue links to go to specific pages in WNCC, and WNCC Ticket & Knowledgebase System is our main page for placing in IT requests

8.) In the center “My Bookmarks” will allow you to save any sites/urls that you may want to click on to save you time, and mobility as the links will always be present on any devices as long as you sign into the portal with your login

9.) Toward the center right-hand side you should see “WNCC Blackboard”, “Class Schedule”, “WNCC Office 365”, and “WCC OneDrive”

10.) The “WNCC Blackboard” will be the primary way to engage with students, and the teacher’s courses
11.) The “WNCC Office 365” is where the majority of Microsoft’s office applications reside on our portal, and once that page is clicked on in the upper right-hand corner is where you can download & install Office (for your time at WNCC you can install office 365 for free on your home computers, and the limit is five)
12.) In the center right-hand side, “WNCC Email” is just a shortcut to get to your email faster

13.) The “Self Service Menu” will allow you to change your password, see your WNCC ID, and payroll

14.) In the bottom right-hand side “My Team Sites” are available per department to allow each other to engage in team events that may take place. This is where departments can share documents, calendar info, messages etc.

15.) To sign out of the portal, in the upper right-hand side, left click the drop down arrow by your name, and left click sign out.

For further Guidelines we have created knowledge base articles that you can look into to make sure you have everything setup the way you need to. For any questions/concerns please utilize our IT ticket system as this is our primary way to interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
